First Day Personal Scientist Drawing

On the first day of class we were asked to draw a scientist. This was our only instruction. This activity was to show the stereotypes of scientists. The majority of the class drew a male with crazy hair. This activity also allowed the class to be creative. This was a great ice breaker.
After we finished our pictures we took pictures from our cellphones and put them on our class powerpoint. I have never done anything like this before. I never had a class powerpoint. This was very interesting to me because each student has their own slide. On my slide I added a bunch of science pictures. I also added the hyperlink to my blog and Digital Me project. This is a fun way to get to know each other and see my classmate's drawings. This also gives me an easy access to my class mates' blogs. I loved this activity and definitely would use this activity in my future classroom!
